Terms of Service
Last updated: October 21, 2026
1. Overview
These Terms of Service govern your purchase of a shipping container and delivery services from Container Connect USA ('we', 'us', or 'our'). By placing an order through our website, you agree to these terms.
We sell new and used shipping containers nationwide through serving depots. All prices are in U.S. dollars. Catalog starting prices exclude delivery; your quote and checkout show the full delivered total and applicable tax before payment. Local New England delivery starts at $350 for 20 miles, then $5 per additional mile per container from Worcester, MA or the Newark, NJ partner depot when serving southwestern Connecticut. Longer runs and nationwide deliveries use the serving partner terminal’s rate.
2. Orders and payment
When you complete checkout, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the full delivered total shown. We process payments through Stripe. You will receive an emailed receipt confirming your order, container selection, delivery zone, and total amount paid.
Cancellations and returns are governed by Section 5 below.
Taxes
Rhode Island deliveries: we collect 7% Rhode Island sales tax on the full delivered total (container plus delivery), shown as a separate line on your quote, checkout and invoice. Tax-exempt buyers may send an exemption certificate before paying and the tax will be removed.
All other states: No sales tax is collected on this sale. If your state imposes a use tax on this purchase, reporting and paying it is the buyer's responsibility.
3. Delivery requirements
Delivery is made by tilt-bed truck to the address you provide. You are responsible for ensuring the site is level, firm, and accessible. A 20-foot container generally requires about 60 feet of straight clearance, and a 40-foot container generally requires about 100 feet of straight clearance.
If our driver arrives and cannot safely deliver the container due to site conditions, obstacles, or inaccurate access information, we may need to reschedule and charge an additional re-delivery fee.
4. Container condition
New containers are one-trip containers: manufactured overseas, loaded once, then sold. They are tan in color and in clean, wind- and water-tight condition.
Used containers are wind- and water-tight but will show surface rust, dents, dings, and mismatched paint. We photograph the actual unit before delivery whenever possible. If the delivered unit does not meet the wind- and water-tight standard, we will repair or replace it at no charge.
5. Cancellations and returns
You may cancel your order at any time before your container is dispatched for delivery for a full refund.
If you cancel after your container has been dispatched, or if you ask us to pick up a container after it has been delivered, we will refund the purchase price of the container. You are responsible for the cost of delivery to your site and the cost of return transport to the depot, each charged at the actual rate charged to us, plus a restocking fee of $300 and the payment processing fee on your original payment (3% on card payments, which the processor does not return to us). These amounts will be deducted from your refund. If they exceed the container purchase price, the balance is due before the return pickup is scheduled.
For a return pickup to be scheduled, the container must be empty, unlocked, accessible to our truck, and in the same condition as when it was delivered, normal wear from loading and unloading excepted. Damage beyond that will be deducted from the refund at repair cost.
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days of the container arriving back at the depot and passing inspection.
This section does not change the condition guarantee: if the container fails its guaranteed condition at delivery (new containers are guaranteed for condition; used containers are guaranteed wind and water tight), you may choose a replacement, a reschedule, or a 100% refund under the guarantee with zero deductions, including payment processing fees. Condition failures are handled as a swap or refund, never as a return under this section. If our driver cannot safely place the container because of site conditions, obstacles, or inaccurate access information (see Section 3), the guarantee does not apply and a re-delivery fee may be charged.
6. Limitation of liability
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
We do not guarantee delivery times beyond our best-effort scheduling. Weather, traffic, and site-access issues can affect delivery windows.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The version in effect when you place your order applies to that order.
